  My dear friend, Ingrid’s dad passed away this past Saturday. What a hard time this must be right now. I can’t imagine losing either one of my parents. Aren’t they supposed to stay strong forever, always run faster than you… guess we’re all just humans.

  
  

  He had just given his two weeks at work in preparation for his retirement. Then the next day, he’s gone.

  
  

  I remember Ingrid sharing with us how funny her dad was in teasing her about getting married. If I remember correctly, this is how it went:

  
  

  Ingrid: *lying on sofa, cuddling with cat*
  Ingrid: Cheetos (the cat) keeps me warm.
  Ingrid’s Dad: Do you know what else will keep you warm? A boy!

  
  

    We had quite a good laugh over that one.

  
  

  I didn’t know Mr. Chen well. But did know he was a kind man who loved his family and loved his God.
