  • We found out that Chinchy was not given a burial in my Uncle’s backyard. Instead, he was put into a trash bag and into the trash can! We are devastated. I will leave it at that.

    amadeus

This reminds me of the movie “Amadeus” (great movie, by the way) about the life of the composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. At the age of 35, he was overcome with illness. He was bankrupt, so in the movie, they put him in a cheap coffin and threw him in a mass grave where other paupers were dumped. I don’t know if it was really this dramatic or even true, but that sure was a sad end to a great story.

Sam thinks we should have saved its fur. He said he would have gone and pet it once in awhile. Aww, how sweet… and… eww, how sick….

  • ohh, that’s terrible.  did they say why a proper ceremony wasn’t given to chinchy?

as for your reaction to sam’s comment — i feel the same way.  aww and eww simultaneously.

  • I think it’s actually true that Mozart died a pauper’s death in an unmarked grave. They know what cemetary and approximately where, but the gravestone is actually just an educated guess as to where he might be. It’s really too bad he died like that because he seemed to have an okay life. I guess not everyone can live a seemingly charmed like like Handel!

  • great movie! as for saving chinchy’s fur… ew!

  • i would have saved it’s fur. nothing ew about it.
