Sometimes I’m such a terrible fool. I’m just a sucker for a sad face. Even if it’s a terrible evil person, like EJ DiMera on Days of Our Lives. He does such horrible things, and he kills people and stuff… but he’s heartbroken right now. All alone, he hangs his head and sighs, he’s human too and he’s hurt. And then I find myself hoping he’d be happy again. But of course, if he’s happy, he’s going to be wrecking havoc on everyone else’s lives. Those DiMeras!
Have you seen that commercial for Baskin Robbins? An Asian girl goes up to her dad, weepy. “Mom says I can go to Baskin Robbins if I get an A.” She hands her dad her test. A big circled F in red. So he takes his pen and draw a line so it looks like an A. He says, “Get in the car!” He’s already zoomed off by the time she looks up. Hahaha!
I remember back in college, I called my mom and said, “I got a C on my test”.
I was so disappointed in myself. She said, “It’s okay, as long as you did your best.” What a relief. That meant more to me than getting an A.
I got the worst grades in Accounting classes. Sadly, it was my major. Not only till my senior year did I realize, “What am I doing? I hate accounting!” By then, I just wanted to be out of school. So I got my degree and now what I do have nothing to do with Accounting. Thank God!

heehee, i’ve seen that commercial.
have you seen the one with the asian family and the girl hints to the dad that they need to update the kitchen and make a visit to home depot? turns out it was the mother who paid the girl to do it. heehee.
yay, i’ve gotten bad grades before too. thank goodness our parents don’t always require As from us.. just our best.
i’d feel torn too if i saw an evil person having “human” feelings.
FYC: not sure. i did the film as part of a fellowship, so not sure what the fellowship has planned for the project. Brownies? Where?
