Anyone remember that there used to be some kind of chicken or duck or goose farm off the 605 between the 60 and the 10?
You can’t miss it because you smell it! A foul fowl smell, hehe. Everyone would be like, “Ugh, sick, roll up the windows! Ugh, gag.” or “Put the air on recycle! Smells!” But instead, I’d roll down the window and take a big whiff.
Because it reminds me of when I was young. My uncle used to own a chicken farm. So that smell reminds me of being on the chicken farm and running around on that spacious land. We used to ride our cousin’s tricycle there, hunt for frogs, get excited at seeing baby chicks, bake potatoes under ground, watch for water striders in their pond…
It’s interesting but there were other relatives that owned other animal farms! Rabbit farms, pig farms, I think even a cow farm. All very stinky… but great memories.
I don’t know why I just wrote this.

the smell doesn’t bring back memories of uncle’s house for me. i was probably too young.
hmmm…
Makes me wonder what Home smells like.
You’re probably just feeling nostalgic. Sounds like a fun childhood with cousins, that is if you like the smell of animals. haha
