  • Ahhhhhh.... nooooooo! They raised the price of boba at Tea Station!!

Sam and I had such a productive day yesterday.

Found a great bargain at Fry's, cleaned the house a bit, loaded music into my iPod, lounged around, then Sam cooked us steak for dinner...

    It was really nice.

Then at night, we went to a local high school to watch fireworks with May, Jason, and Diana. We sat a little too close and were rained on by ash and falling pieces of burning cardboard. That was pretty scary. Sometimes we didn't know whether to enjoy the firework or look out for pieces of falling debris. Then, imagine the finale! Felt like I was sitting in a war zone. But it was still fun!

Note to self: Buy cherries from Costco.

  • cryingbabyBabies. Babies everywhere. So many people having babies.

It's so weird to think that when we first came into this world, we were just a few pounds. Lighter than those bags of rice at Ranch Market. Or, Sam to Rachel, "I've eaten a chicken bigger than you!" We couldn't walk, or talk, or clean ourselves... helpless little human beings. There were these two adults who took me home, they loved me and clothed me. They fed me when I was hungry, figured out what I liked or didn't like, they taught me what was good and what was bad, and when I was bad, they still kept me around. There was this kid at home that was slightly bigger, he'd pinch me in my sleep sometimes, then I'd cry. I liked to cry, I was good at that. I liked to see him cry back then, especially when we went to the doctors to get a shot. I'd pretend the needle didn't hurt me and beam when the big kid wailed. But now he is a doctor himself and I no longer like to see him cry. Then, one day, the adults brought home a smaller baby. Now, she is a crier! She is good at fake crying, too. I actually have it on tape somewhere. It's hilarious!

So the bridal showers are dwindling and the baby showers are increasing. I'm helping plan one for an ex-roommate. I think it'll be a lot of fun. Aileen's having a baby! She is such a cute pregnant woman

P.S. Frances, I hope your first day back at work was good. I'm cold, I want to hold Danielle.
