  • reading by windowCame across this picture recently, it's so peaceful, calming...
How wonderful to have a spot like that to read. I had always dreamed to own a home with a dormer window like this: big windows that brings in natural light, and a place to sit, with pillows so comfy and cozy.

It's been a while since I've gotten lost in a book. The last two books I read were so slow, I couldn't even get through half of it.

When we have kids, I hope they will also love to read. I love talking to my friends/co-workers about books we're reading. It's amazing the stories some of the authors can translate into words and put down on paper.

Sam is not a reader. In high school, he'd sit in a jacuzzi with his friends and listen to books on tape before he had to write up a essay. And as he progressed through school, his BSing skills grew, so he only read the back cover and a few sentences here and there. And still got A's... so wrong and so unfair.

It's about 3pm. Sam came home, stuck his arm in the room, holding a boba! I love him!

  • that's like maurice! instead of reading, he used to make up stories for his book reports and he would give so much detail the teacher and other students believed him! so bad. but very creative. he should just write his own books!

  • i like that picture alot.  i miss the days where i would curl up on a bed or couch with an awesome book and just lose myself in that fictional world...*sigh*  ryc re so you think you can dance:  the winner of the show gets $100,000, a new car and one year contract to perform on celine dion's show in vegas.

  • sam sounds a lot like my kid brother. so wrong and so unfair.

  • i like dorm windows, but they look kinda scary at night.. esp with scraggly trees outside, waving in the wind.
    j/k
i love the pic too. the kid looks immersed in her book. she should take off her shoes to relax.
come home today to the new home!
i'm nothing like sam, i have a slow mind.. scared of saying the wrong thing.. not good with elaborate stories. but i still got through hs. i think of all those classics, i only read through ONE. woohoo!

  • i'm not a reader either, but when i was little, i used to always wish i had one of those bay windows to sit in to read. that picture brings back feelings of when i was young... ahhh...

  • I love reading too! Jr seems to have adapted that from me, thank goodness cuz his father HATES reading too. But guess what, I'm the same as Sam, I can read the beginning and end and a few lines in between to create a great essay! Sometimes tho, I do just want to read it! hahaha.

  • heyy..thats a place in my dream house!!=P exact picture of my idea of perfect relaxation*sigh*

  • I've always wanted a windowsill.
