I learned last week that Ursula is supposed to be King Triton's sister!! (Bonus features on the new Little Mermaid DVD.)
What?! That's what the Disney people intended.
It's like that feeling when you're dating someone for the longest time then all of a sudden you find out something about them that you never knew.
How come she's an octopus and not a merfolk like the others?
Maybe... it's like in "Wicked". Just because she was born different, people rejected her. Alphaba was green and Ursula was an octopus, er.. Octomaid? And then she goes off to try to overthrow King Triton because she is angry with the sea world and was banished from the kingdom. I'm not usually a fan of Disney sequels like Lion King 2, Jungle Book 2, The Little Mermaid 2... But they should do a prequel centered around Ursula, yeah, that would be so cool!

When you go get a haircut, you know how they usually try to make small talk?
Hairdresser: What school do you go to?
Me: Oh, I'm not in school. I actually graudated from college about 8 years ago.
Hairdresser: Wow, you look really young!
Yesterday was a first. The lady asked, "Do you have children?"
Wow... But I'm looking forward to my thirties. It's a good age.
Sam said I should be flattered because that means I look mature. Okay.

We get to have dim sum together for lunch.
Sam says, "If you don't want it, don't make eye contact with the cart lady."
There is an art to ordering dum sum, I guess.
If I was a dim sum lady, I want to man either the shrimp dumpling or the chicken feet cart. Mmm...

I can't wait to go up to the mountains with our Couples group. To breathe some fresh air, see some stars, do some hiking, cook and eat together, light a fire, lounge around and play games...
I've been feeling overwhelmed lately, so I think this will be a nice getaway.
Oh, the saddest thing... I spilled water in my bag, again. This time it got my journal; my heart poured out. The words are still there but I am heartbroken. -
I know the season is getting getting cold when my fingers get thinner and my rings clink against each other.
Time to take out the warm sweaters and pack up the capris.
Time to raise the temperature on the water heater.
Time to think about where to spend the holidays.
Time to bring out the flannel bedsheets.

Is it ironic that tonight, Sam and I will be eating Church's fried chicken and I will be sipping on a cup of boba while watching "The Biggest Loser"? That's a really great show. I love how they have such teamwork and encourage one another. It's amazing how much weight they lose every single week! And they get so excited, so happy...
Sam thinks that restaurants will never have this show on. I think he's right. People will probably order less food or order lighter foods. It's like a conscience show.
But not us! We oink-oinks.
