  • Oh my goodness, my butt hurts from sitting on the ground all day.

When I work from home, I sit indian style on the floor and place the laptop on the fold-out tray that Andres and Peter got us for our wedding. This cannot be good for my knee joints or my posture.

I've probably taken less than 200 steps today. That's what happens when I work from home. I'm going to turn into a rock like this. It looks nice outside. Time to go out for a walk.

And then I'm going to come home and eat a fuji apple and hot cheetos. Yum!
(Amy, I have a bag of hot cheetos for you. It was on sale last week!)

  • i love hot cheetos. so does justine! i remember when i was little, i had the pikachu thing, and i would hook it on my belt and run and jump around just to get points (cuz you get points if you walk around with your pikachu). what good exercise! now it's like...i walk downstairs...and to the dining hall...and walk back.....to and from class. eh that's good enough.

  • for meeeee??? wee!
    happy walking!
i bought myself a box of chocolate pocky-ies. mmm. it was on sale too, but i didn't buy one for you. haha. aww, i'm a horrible sister.

  • oooh that sounds good!  in junior high my friend and i would go to 7-11 in the summer and buy a big bag of hot cheetos and a big slurpee to share, then we would eat them until we were full of hot and cold and float on the pool like little stuffed drowned ants.  ahh, those were the days.

  • RYC: if you have to go pee during a surgery, you can of course scrub out and go. but the thing is, no one ever leaves, because you dont want to look bad. which also means you dont eat. hahaa. so the key is to eat and not drink so much before going in. definitely no coffee or tea. unless youre an attending. then you can do whatever you darn well please.

  • RYC: i have learned the art of dehydration.  it's really true.  i don't drink anything in the morning if i can help it, and then i have developed a pavlovian response to putting on scrubs: as i change into scrubs i develop an urge to urinate, which is good because one would hate to have that urge after being scrubbed in and gowned up.  it actually happens so routinely that if i have to change back and forth into stree clothes and scrubs repetitively through the day, i still have to pee, even if it's just a trickle.  pavlov, brilliant!

  • my best friend loves hot cheetos too, but i don't understand the obsession! haha! i am personally a sunchips and plain tortilla chips kind of girl ;)

  • you should have use a pillow.  Fuji apples are my favorite
