  • I've been totally wrapped up watching a Korean soap opera on DVD, My Girl. I had gotten it through eBay for a pretty good price. From the manufacturer, they said. Yeah, right! Is that why disc # 4 doesn't even play and has a crack? Ahhhh! I need to see what happened on disc 4!!

What's with the men's haircut? Well, despite that, the main character is so cute. He has truly grown on me. I was watching it last night and realized, "Hey, something about this guy remind me of Sam!" Wow! I often think someone looks like someone else or something else, and Sam usually can't see what I'm talking about. I just have a good eye, that's all! So, of course, he thinks I'm nuts this time. Whatever. He should be flattered.

He started calling me "Nong Shim" yesterday. Just because it's a Korean word and I'm all into this soap opera. I thought, "What does that mean? Shim... sounds like 'heart' in Chinese. Aw, that's sweet." Turns out it's a brand of Korean shrimp snacks!

Nongshim-ShrimpCracker   Well, it is pretty tasty stuff...

  • hahah gong chan is hot!! altho jeung woo seemed to have grown on me towards the end.  i luv those shrimp snacks.  i've been craving for them but haven't gotten around to getting a bunch of them yet.

  • I like shrimp cracker but I prefer the other brand with pink package. Oh ya, one can get rather addicted to soap opera. I know Korean soap opera are getting better. Enjoy....

  • nong shim.. i knew that right off the bat! they also make yummy instant noodles. we used to sell 'em at the market!
nong shim is my favorite brand. calbee's is too salty. blagh.

    stop watching soap operas!

  • NONG SHIM MAKES EVERYTHINGG!

  • I think Koreans make the best dramas overall. I'm on a Korean movie kick right now...

  • nong shim, heart of the farmers. guys had a calbee vs nong shim show down at the apart before.

  • ooh....shrimp chips! they have wasabi flavored ones now! (we used to only have the hot garlic flavored ones--yumm) chew found the wasabit ones and i can't wait to bust open the bag and try them out. :)

  • i watched one of those korean soap series and find it interesting, but the plot seem to recycle from one to the next. it's usually some tragic love story. the guys either lost his momory or the girl has to die from leukemia. they have to learn to sacrifice their own selfish love to satisfy the success of another, which is a greater sort of love. i don't know, but i think the korean drama needs some new script writers. helen and the girls are all hooked on korean soap, that leaves me and the boy to play PS2 all night. YAH!!!
