My friend lost her baby. She miscarried at 4 1/2 months. I was heartbroken to hear all that she went through. I can't even start to imagine what that's like. This song is for her. It swirls of hope and trust in God... Glory Baby Glory baby, you slipped away as fast as we could say baby…baby Miss you everyday, miss you in every way Sweet little babies, it’s hard to understand it ‘cause we’re hurting, we are hurting I can’t imagine heaven’s lullabies
You were growing, what happened, dear?
You disappeared on us baby…baby
Heaven will hold you before we do
Heaven will keep you safe until we’re home with you
Until we’re home with you
But we know there’s a day when we will hold you, we will hold you
You’ll kiss our tears away, when we’re home to stay
Can’t wait for the day when we will see you, we will see you
But baby, let sweet Jesus hold you
‘Till mom and dad can hold you
You’ll just have heaven before we do
You’ll just have heaven before we do
But there is healing and we know we’re stronger people through the growing and in knowing
That all things work together for our good
And God works His purposes just like He said He would
Just like He said He would
And what they must sound like
But I will rest in knowing, heaven is your home
And it’s all you’ll ever know, all you’ll ever know

I'm such a dried up person, my optometrist and ophthamologist try all these things on my dry eyes. And I love them for it. I have such great doctors!
Last week I went and got my lower tear ducts plugged up. That means that I can no longer cry.
Just kidding. Wouldn't that be odd though?
We're constantly producing tears that keep our eyes moist. I don't produce enough tears already, so my doctor plugged up the lower tear ducts where the excess tears drain. They're those pinpoint-size holes on the inside corner of the eyelids. Hopefully this will help keep moisture on the eye before they drain or evaporate. These excess tears drain into the nasal passage. So when you blow your nose when you cry, you're actually blowing out tears.
So maybe I won't need to blow my noise as much any more when I cry.
The process was fast and painless. These plugs are tiny and only temporary. They'll self-dissolve in a month. If I like them, then I'll get more permanent ones. So far it feels the same as before, but I'll do anything at this point.
Be thankful if you have moist eyes. You know how when you have dry mouth, you can hear that dry mouth sound when you talk? A bit like the sound of eating bananas? When I blink sometimes, my eyes make the equivalent of that sound. But of course, not so loud.

My big bro is back in town!
I'm taking the whole week off!
It's so nice; Allen being back and not having to work.
Amy drove back to have dinner with us. We had buffet. Oh my goodness, I'm still so full. But this time they didn't have fried frog legs or the round sesame ball things with the red bean paste inside. Bummer. And most of us were also disappointed that the ice cream machine was out of order. What?! We (mainly my Dad and I) like to polish off the meal with it, topped with crushed fortune cookies. Mmm...
It's nice to be together as a whole family.

Also, happy 70th birthday to my Father-In-Law. Poor thing, he fell down last week... on his face! And knocked himself out as well as a tooth.
But he's okay. I'd so be popping pain killers right now. But he's such a trooper and doesn't complain. He just smiles at me with his swollen mouth and sleepless eyes, and grinds up his food in the blender. Poor thing.
My Dad has a way of making people laugh.
Dad: Why did you get up in the middle of the night?
Sam's Dad: To get a drink of water.
(Sam's Dad tells the story some more... he actually passed out for 1/2 an hour.)
Dad: So... did you drink any water after you finally woke up?
Sam's Dad: ...No. I got up and went back to sleep.
Hehe. Awww.... -
Sam says my posture changes when I wear heels. "Like how," I asked. But he couldn't answer me.
I didn't know that. It must be a subconscious thing, to get all the limbs and the torso in proper order so that I don't fall down? Or to be more feminine to match the shoes?
I got a pair of red wedge shoes a few weeks ago. I think it's cute so I asked Sam if he liked them, too. Because if he did, then I'd definitely keep it. But he just said, "It's alright".
Sometimes I'd like to be patronized just a bit by him. But I guess honesty is good. It's been sitting in our room so I can consider keeping it or not when I see it. And since it's still clean, I'll put them on and walk around the room once in a while. Well, I finally took the sticker off yesterday.
These are the main things I consider when purchasing a pair of shoes:
* Do I already have something like this?
* Is the price reasonable?
* Is it comfortable enough?
* Do I already have outfits to wear with this?
I remember back in like 5th grade or so I said, "I'm never going to care what kind of clothes or shoes I wear, that's so shallow!" Haha. I don't shop or spend much anymore so it's nice to pick up something once in a while.
Do you remember your last giddy purchase? -
I finished reading a memoir of a teenage girl during the Cultural Revolution last weekend. So it evoked a curiosity to know more. When I was younger, I was not a fan of history, but this is actually some pretty interesting stuff. I've never been to China, wasn't even alive when it happened, but I'm so thankful for the freedom that we have.
Can you believe that there were slogans like "Parents may love me, but not as much as Chairman Mao".
Can you believe that they learn phrases in English class like "Lay down your arms and we will spare your lives".
Some serious brain washing!
Red Scarf Girl was actually written for young readers, but I found it at a thrift store a month ago and it was given good reviews and awards. I'm glad I picked it up.
* Found another book that same day, a fictionalized story of a Mughal empress. I'm reading this now.
* A book came in the mail today from an eBay purchase, can't wait to read it.
* I went to the library today and got Bram Stocker's "Dracula" for a quarter! Score!
So excited!
I
reading. Please send any good book recommendations my way. Thanks!

Love, love, LOVE this version of "Honeysuckle Rose" sung by Eva Cassidy.
Click here and have a listen.

Every honeybee fills with jealousy
When they see you out with me.
I don't blame 'em, goodness knows,
My honeysuckle rose.
Flowers droop and sigh when you're passin' by,
And I know the reason why --
You're much sweeter, goodness knows
You're my honeysuckle rose.
I don't buy sugar,
You just have to touch my cup.
You're my sugar,
It's so sweet when you stir it up.
No work for me tomorrow. I'm so excited I get to stay up late tonight and sleep in tomorrow! -
For those of you who know what Sam looks like, do you see a resemblance with this picture of Lee Dong-Wook? Korean actor.
Amy took a picture of Sam and I today at our old house and he looks like THIS!
Sam thinks I'm outta my mind.
I think Sam will age well, just like his Dad.
Justine thinks I look like Elva Hsiao. But only in this picture b/c she's covering a part of her face. Heh.
Goodnight, I'm so tired. It's been a long weekend moving everything out of our old house.
Work starts at 6 tomorrow... so early...
