My sis-in-law invited me to go to the Renaissance Fair last weekend. There were so many people dressed up. I really felt like I landed back in that time; it was surreal when I walked through the entrance. They greet you by saying, "Good day, m'lady" or "Good day, m'lord." I was so caught off guard at first. We watched some shows, but I loved the joust the best. The Italian knight was handsome but he didn't win. It was super hot though and dusty. I stayed out in the sun too long and ended up getting some new freckles and swollen elbows the next day.
Vendors were lined along both sides of a winded path selling food, costumes, jewelry, pottery, paintings...
We came across a booth selling paintings of fairies and whimsical creatures. I was captivated by this one, "Merbaby". So nurturing and beautiful. I'm thinking of making a purchase. I sent her an email today to inquire. Yay.
You know how sometimes you buy an outfit to go with a pair of shoes? This picture makes me want to have a girl one day so I can put this in her nursery.

I call G "M'lord". haha
That picture is slightly scary.
how beautiful!
I have been to the fair 8 years ago. It was pretty fun but really hot dusty. I watched the way they make glasses. It was so beautiful. Pray about having a girl in future then, our LORD might just grant that to you.
i've been to the one in Sterling Forest, NY. it's fun. we enjoyed eating turkey legs and eating soup from bread bowls.
