Cynthia let me borrow "Full House", another Korean drama. When I started watching it, I just couldn't get myself to like the lead male. He was not at all attractive to me. Blegh. Actually, he reminded me a whole lot of one of the 3rd graders we're teaching, Matthew. That alone was weird and wrong. But his character really grew on me. And when he smiles, which was rare in the beginning, it's so cute! Sam says that I should teach Matthew to smile like that. Give him some pointers. Hehehe. I didn't know he was a well know singer, Rain. He even made it as one of Time Magazine's "100 Most Influential People Who Shape Our World". And he's only 25?! So these past few days I've been looking him up on youtube and wow, he's pretty hot stuff. Hahaha. I love watching him dance and smile. I went to the library yesterday and found one of his CDs! On the first track he spoke some English so I actually understood it. Then he said in his sexy voice, "I love you". And I responded, "Oh… I love you, too!" Oh my gosh, I'm nuts! This reminds me of when Amy was totally in love with that guy from Prison Break, hahahaha! So funny!

I LOVE "So You Think You Can Dance".
You know how when you're in a car with someone who brakes too late and your reaction is to step on phantom brakes? For some reason, I catch myself pointing my toes when I watch some of these dance numbers. They're such great dancers. But a lot of it goes to the choreographer. I loved the intro last night where the girl was blowing and they were all falling/tumbling backwards like they were caught in a storm. So creative!
Danny reminds me of Andres. Yes? Okay, not so in this picture. But watch him next time when he stands in front of the judges!
Hok reminds me of May and Martin. Yes?
I often find resemblances in people… to other people or to animals…
Judy: Doesn't X look like Y?
Sam: No!
Judy: You don't see it? Oh my gosh, totally!
Sam: No!
Judy: Doesn't X look like Y?
Katelyn/Amy/Jennifer/Aileen… : I can see why you say that.
Maybe girls are just better at these things. Or maybe they're just trying to be nice and humor me? No... it can't be that my eyes are bad.

I went shopping for Katelyn's bridal shower yesterday. I found a little shop in the mall that had some cute stuff. (Victoria's Secret is over-rated and over-priced.) But there were these two men in there gawking and laughing and saying stuff out loud like, "Yeah, I want to see her wear this!" I was pretty annoyed/disgusted. They even made eye contact with me and asked if I liked what they chose. I thought they were going to pick some raunchy outfit, but they chose some pretty nice ones at the end. They both selected the same long sheer-ish dress, but in different colors. I found a really nice one for Katelyn.
After I came home I thought to myself, there's nothing wrong with them selecting outfits for their women. (Odd, that they went together though.) I think it's wonderful to be desirable to your spouse… with or without a wrapper. They were just loud and gawking. Gawking is never good... unless it's from your spouse.
BTW, there's a sale at Bath & Bodyworks on their anti-bacterial soap. I love that smelly stuff. 5 for $15 or 7 for $20. Very good deal.

Don't you just love the benediction? When the Pastor sends us out with a blessing...
"The Lord bless you and keep you,
The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
I love it.
It's like, "Yes! Thank you! Now I'm ready to take on the week!"

It's 3pm. This is what I've eaten so far...
Dove milk chocolate
Calbee shrimp snacks
A peach
Boba from Tea Station (Surprise treat from Sam!)
But I went to the gym 3 times this week!! Really! I even broke a sweat.
Yeah! The weekend is here!
Congrats to Stephanie and Tiffany for graduating. So proud of you guys!

Allen called Amy, he's on call tonight and was on his way to work, running into fireflies left and right. So much that his windshield was glowing. How very sad, those poor things. I love fireflies. (Glow worms are the larvae, remember Glow Worms?!)
We were there around this time last year. I still remember Allen driving us around after his graduation party to catch fireflies in see-through plastic cups. We stopped at several locations, but finally found one that was blazing with fireflies. When we parked and walked in some more, I was mesmerized by what I saw. It was like being in a fantasy world, twinkling lights everywhere, surrounded by tall trees. I've never seen anything like that. I could have stayed there for many more hours, awed by everything around me.
Afterwards, we drove to a local White Castle in his little town for a snack. We gobbled up a lot of it on the way back, then released the fireflies from his porch. Oh, that was so fun. I wish we had fireflies here.
P.S. Did you know that there is such a thing as an official state insect? Yes, that's right. Cheers to insects! Check it out here.
P.S.S. Some dad saw me looking at the caterpillars at church on Sunday and he said, "Is this for your school project?" He thought I was in high school! Okay, I know I don't look THAT young. If so, then I should be Julia Gulia and go undercover.

There's an Indian contractor on our team. He's super smart, fast, and has good manners.
He sits next to me. But when I turn to talk to him, while sitting in my chair, he'll stand up. Then I feel like I need to stand up, but I don't. I want to tell him, "It's okay, you don't need to stand up."
Today he sent me an email and he put a smiley, I don't know... it's amusing. He has old traditional manners and uses modern smileys.
They are taking over... our company's using them for a lot of our IT roles. It's hard to compete... we ask for a list of skill sets and the next day they provide the perfect candidate. And they're cheaper. The only thing is that they might be hard to understand at times.
So I find out in July if I still have a job. July, my 9th year anniversary with the company.
Another re-org. I think I'll be okay... but you never know. It's always about the bottom line --> $$$. I'm afraid for our IT team. They are superb. They're starting to get their resumes in order... -
A Day In The Life of a Caterpillar-Sitter:
S: The leaves were practically gone this morning.
J: Really?! They are eating too fast now.
S: I looked at them and they said, "Feed us! We're hungry!"
J: Oh, they talked to you?
S: Yes. Be careful when you open the lid later, they're going to bite your hand.
J: They're going to go "RAWR!"
He's quite the imaginative one. He'll be a fun dad one day. A little crazy, but fun for sure.
We've been having interesting conversations about the 'pillars.
S: Why don't they eat the stems?
J: Why don't you eat the sidewalk that you walk on?
S: Huh, no, that's not the same.
J: Why don't you eat the bones on your steak?
The 'pillars are getting bigger and fatter. They eat and poop like crazy. If the lid is open, I can even hear them chewing. Is it just me, but everytime I see this picture I think, "Aw, sooo cute!" Look at him taking a nap, aww.
P.S. Jane, I got to wear jeans to work today! But no tennis shoes.
