Hey-o, peoples. I had a surgery on my left index finger Monday morning, a synovectomy, to remove some inflammed joint tissues.
Wah... it hurts. Mommy! It wasn't so bad the first day or so but now it's killing me. For some reason I thought I could do w/o the vicodin, what was I thinking?! Unfortunately, I feel like a heavy fog, just hovering around and... uh, I lost my train of thought... but I feel like a heavy fog.
I was hoping they'd let me watch the procedure, but it'd probably made me sick. I even had to change into a gown? (They need to have smaller gowns that tie well in the back. They're scandalous!) They stuck an IV in my hand, shot me up w/ antibiotics, then "something that will make you more relaxed". It made me so relaxed I fell asleep w/in seconds. I woke up towards the last 5 mintes or so of the surgery and felt them tugging on my hand and sewing it up. I didn't feel any pain, just movements. Surgery took about 45 minutes. I'm so curious what it looks like under the bandage. How did they cut my finger up?
I asked the doctor, "What does it look like?" He said, "It's white, it's kind of like fat." Ew.
I feel like I'm drunk off the meds. I just want to sleep.
