Hey-o, peoples. I had a surgery on my left index finger Monday morning, a synovectomy, to remove some inflammed joint tissues.
Wah... it hurts. Mommy! It wasn't so bad the first day or so but now it's killing me. For some reason I thought I could do w/o the vicodin, what was I thinking?! Unfortunately, I feel like a heavy fog, just hovering around and... uh, I lost my train of thought... but I feel like a heavy fog.
I was hoping they'd let me watch the procedure, but it'd probably made me sick. I even had to change into a gown? (They need to have smaller gowns that tie well in the back. They're scandalous!) They stuck an IV in my hand, shot me up w/ antibiotics, then "something that will make you more relaxed". It made me so relaxed I fell asleep w/in seconds. I woke up towards the last 5 mintes or so of the surgery and felt them tugging on my hand and sewing it up. I didn't feel any pain, just movements. Surgery took about 45 minutes. I'm so curious what it looks like under the bandage. How did they cut my finger up?
I asked the doctor, "What does it look like?" He said, "It's white, it's kind of like fat." Ew.
I feel like I'm drunk off the meds. I just want to sleep.
*throbbing throbbing throbbing*

owww, that sounds painful. i hope you feel better soon!
You're typing well for having finger surgery. I hope this doesn't affect your piano skillz. Take more pills!!
praying for a quick recovery!
wow you're working after a surgery!! and you can still type??
be healed!!!
carpal tunnel?
oh my gosh. that sounds really uncomfortable. take your meds and try to rest. in a couple of days, then you can think about getting by without your vicodin.
the only surgery i've had was oral surgery to remove my wisdom teeth, but i had a similar reaction to the pain medication - and it made my sleep so light and restless that i stopped taking it after a few days.
awww.... ouch!! Keep takin' those drugs! Just don't drive while drugged up.
Hoping and praying it heals quickly, Judy!!
hmm, judy, you sound a little loopy!
get well soon!
wow, i hope you can still rock out on keys
since when did you greet us with "hey-o peoples." you ARE loopy.
hope you heal up quickly!!!
I hope you feel better soon.
Steve had a carpel tunnel surgery about 3 years ago (just a minor incision in the wrist to cut some nerves) and he had to be put to sleep too. He woke up and it was over (while I waited about 2 hours in the waiting room). He had this huge bandage all the way up to his elbow!!
Hope you feel better soon!!
owie! you had an iv too? i HATE how it feels when they take it out.
hope you heal fast and feel better soon!
OMG, you poor thing! Hope you feel better soon. Try half a dose of the vicodine.
