  • parking signsToday is Wednesday. They sweep one side of the street in front of our condo on Wednesdays... or so they say. I just got home and that side of the street is still dirty!

This makes me mad because I got a ticket a couple weeks ago for parking there. I had totally forgotten about the Wednesday thing. If they don't sweep then they better not ticket people!

So if you're ever in LA county... these are the parking violation fines:

Failure to obey signs - $50
    Street sweeping - $50
Failure to obey markings - $50
    Disconnected trailer - $45
    Parking in alleys - $45
    Parking meters - $45
    Double parking - $45
Parking in bus zone - $255
Parking in fire lane - $60
    18 inches from curb - $45
    Disabled parking - $330
    Disabled - crosshatched lines - $330
    Fire hydrant - $60

Remember the days when our church people would double park like crazy? But you get ticketed once and you'll probably never do it again.

  • So I guess those punishments are effective.

  • I still don't like them though.

  • i got a 30 dollar ticket for street sweeping before

  • I used to live in Westwood.  Sometimes it was worth the $30 ticket (at the time) because we really couldn't find any parking for a long long long time.

  • i have only gotten a parking meter ticket from the above volation fines. plus i got a few speeding tickets too. ;(

  • hehe, the face next to street sweeping is very fitting.
there should lots of people who get fined $330 at BaMa's place!!

  • wow , they know how to make money.

  • get this:
trapping me in overnight in westwood so i can't get out to go home by parking completely illegally and kissing my bumper while at it even though i called the cops and everything cuz i really needed to go home: free.  yeah free!!  those sinkers who are so ticket happy didnt want to drive by at 10pm to give this dood a ticket.  they shoulda towed his @$$.

  • *stinker.  not sinkers.  that makes no sense. =)

  • that's not fair.  too bad you couldn't ticket them for not cleaning the streets.
