  • My left eye has gone haywire.
It sees like I have no glasses on even though I have glasses on.
It also sees like there's a fog machine in the room.
It just happened out of nowhere.
    The right eye is fine.
So my focus is off and get headaches because of it.

Nightime driving feels like I'm high on drugs.
Brake lights, oncoming headlights, street lights, signals are haloed, huge, overlapping each other.
(OMG, old people always complain about lights and driving at night. Now I understand them.)
It's fine when I wake up, but once my eye is exposed to more light, it's over.

Trying to stay away from sudoku puzzles, reading, and watching K-Dramas w/ subtitles.
But those are things I love...
Wish I could stay away from work b/c work = staring at the computer all day.
I have one eye closed most of the day at my desk. It's so clear, what a contrast.
I need a pirate patch. Arrrgg.

My opthamologist is booked solid until March.
I hope I'm not going blind. I need my eyes to last me many more years.
    I'd appreciate your prayers.
    I'm kind of scared.

Hey, you know that Jessica Alba movie where she gets a corneal implant…
    And then she sees ghosts…

  • don't be scared! you'll be fine!!!

  • Praying for you, Judy!  Maybe it's an eye infection or something.  When I got pink eye for awhile, my vision was really messed up and I got scared it was a bigger issue..but it was just a little bug that went away after a couple weeks.  Maybe there is another opthamologist that you can get an appointment with...?

  • maybe you need an MRI, check to see if anything is wrong in your brain.

    how scary!!

  • oh yea, i saw a commercial for that yesterday.  i think the movie is called "The Eye."  it reminds me of this one kevin bacon movie where the same thing happened to him after an eye transplant.

  • sorry to hear that! =( praying for you

  • will pray for you. Perhaps you should tell your opthamologist that it is urgent. Or like alinus say, find another one to see. Don't wait too long.

  • praying for you.

  • Can't you go to another opthamologist? Or get a referral for another one?  it seems a little serious to me that you're not seeing well.   It might turn out to be something more serious and waiting another month is not a good idea.  I'm wishing and sending out good thoughts and prayers your way.

  • praying for you too.

  • We will be praying for you and for me too. Thanks...take good care of yourself.

  • Just passing by your site... don't be scared, let prayer be your first help!!  last sunday our pastor shared a story of a sister in church who is in her late 30s, and her right eye started losing sight... she went to the doctor and the doctor said she has spots behind her eyes that will expand till she goes blind... usually people with very old age gets it ... from years of stress... she was devestated.. and as she lost her sight day by day, she started to lose hope...

Then she listened to her friends and came to the healing prayer room our church has... and after a couple of times, God shine light on her, she saw herself as a child, 7 years of age, taking care of her little brothers and sisters while her mother goes to work in the fields, her father is a soldier.. she was very stressed, always working... but when mother comes back and see chores not complete, she would be beaten.

She grew up as a very responsible and fast paced person, always working working and working... her service in church is the same way, she holds all the burdens on her shoulder.. then at the healing room, god spoke to her and asks her to relax in His arms, she doesn't need to work so hard to win His Love, His love is unconditional... she cried and cried and cried that day...

And after the healing session, she sees a bright spot in the middle of her eye, that used to be dark... And she felt Lord's presense and love surrounding her... and weeks passed, her eye brightened little by little, the dark spots started to vanish... she kept praying... she felt that God was with her every step of the way... and through this hardship, God allowed her to see what was casuing her eyes to go blind... the hurt from her childhood.. and God is going to take that away too...

That was such an amazing story... hope you find peace and faith in this like I did =)
