  • Whenever you go see a doctor, they ask your medical history and if you're allergic to any drugs.

    I write down: "Cymbalta"

I just realized that I've been telling them the wrong thing. It's "Celebrex"!

They both start with C but treat completely different things.

    Cymbalta for depression

    Celebrex for arthritis symptoms

Oh dear, I guess I should do some correcting soon.
S and I had quite a laugh about it yesterday when it dawned on me.
How do doctors and pharmacists remember all those different drug names?

  • Haha... I do that a lot too.  Last time we went to the optometrist, Stephen was asking for the torric contact lenses.  When the doctor asked him why, I blurted out "He needs those for his astigmatism because he has glaucoma"  (little did I know that astigmatism has nothing to do with glaucoma).  To this day I still remember the doctor's blank stare of confusion as she ponder what in the world I was talking about.  Thankfully, we haven't been back in close to two years so maybe she'll forget who I am next time we visit.

  • We don't - now we carry around our PDAs as peripheral brains!!

  • they're paid to.  ;p

i'm just glad that it didn't hurt you in any way.
