Hello from Seattle!
I'm only here for a couple days, I wish I could stay longer. It's in the 70s here. It was just beautiful today. I can see myself living here.
The team had dinner at the rotating restaurant on the Space Needle. Right when I realized it was rotating I felt like I was about to lose my balance. But you get used to it after awhile. It makes one whole rotation every 47 minutes. The view was beautiful and we got to see the sunset. Beautiful place and ambiance but, oh my goodness, the food is so expensive! $45 for halibut. $42 for seafood pasta. $9 for a little piece of cheesecake... I skipped dessert because I had my own dessert plans...
We got back to the hotel around 8ish so I thought I'd walk across the street and sit in Starbucks, get a cup of hot cocoa, and do a little journaling. I was so happy I had spotted it earlier in the day and had planned it into my evening. Afterall, I'm in Seattle, the birthplace of Starbucks! But when I made my way over... the lights were out. They closed at 7. What? So early!
So... I'm just drinking water. I should have had a piece of that tiramisu.

what a bummer. we ate the rotating restaurant at the stratosphere in Las Vegas. its a little disorienting at first and then nice. i'm sure the view from Space Needle is nicer. Vegas is mostly desert.
awww! sorry you missed out
i hate it when those things happen.
i loooooooooove seattle
You should bring back some fresh salmon from Pike's!
Lesson learned - always seize the dessert opportunities, right?
Should call up Henry to see my niece! Haha
awww... but i have to say, good control that you didn't order/eat the dessert at the restaurant. that's smart to make your own plans when the night is over with the team... get some alone downtime in a foreign place.
hope you can do that next time again and "make it work!" (that's from project runway).
Seattle is simply beautiful!! You've been doing quite a lot of traveling lately.... =)
shoulda warned you... we did the same thing with a starbucks near the pike market. i think starbucks in downtown area close early. glad you had the chance to eat at the restaurant on top of the space needle. the last time we eat there, it was foggy so we couldn't see much of the city!!
