Babydot's post makes me itch for new shoes. Shoes, I love shoes! My favorite kind: Mary-Janes. Did you ever see this commercial? There's a lady putting a mark on a shoe box every time she wears a pair of her shoes. Then this brilliant equation: Cost of Shoes / # of Days Worn = Real Cost of Shoes. Simply brilliant! I love that Zappos allow you to view the shoes from all angles. Brilliant! Yes, "brilliant" is the word of the day. I probably won't act on it... but I think these two pairs are just lovely. But then... when I think about that equation... and plus, free shipping both ways... I like the detail and the color. These are so cute! But they are too shiny. If only the material was different. Okay, I realize that many of my posts are pointless or trivial. But did want to share with you that lovely equation; for anyone who's ever been guilt-ridden from buying a pair of shoes that you paid more than you normally would have.

J:
*checking out my wrinkles in the mirror*
J: *interrupt the husband*
J: Hey, can you smile with your eyes?
S:
J: No, not like that. Smile like this.
S:
J: You have lines around your eyes, too! Look at mine!Oh no, they're getting deeper!
S: It's okay, I like it. It's cute.
J: It is?
J:
Fresh outlook and good attitude sure does make the difference.
P.S. Tonight is boba night! I'm so excited!

We had lots of fun at Aileen & Johnny's shower.
Even the Grandparents and a Great-Grandmother joined in on some of the games.
Every time I go to these events, there seem to be more and more little ones crawling/running around.
I always love the gift opening and ooh-and-aah over the cute little outfits.
I can't believe I was ever that small. Craziness.
These diaper cakes never fail to amuse me. They sure will be needing lots and lots of these.

You know that saying, "older and wiser"...
Every year, it never fails that someone will write that line on one of my birthday cards...
And I always hope that to be true...
But never really feel it...
Other than the "older" part...
But I did today...
Yes, the "wiser" part, too...
And it was bittersweet...
But I'll take it. -
Oh joy! I found a huge error in our system earlier. Errors are no good, but now at least we have a starting point to tackle it! Have been trying to figure it out forever and finally was able to successfully replicate it. I don't usually pat my own back very much, but "Good job, Judy!" One of those rare moments where you just want to spin yourself in the chair, put your feet up, lean back, fold your hands behind your head, and call it a day.
J: Would you rather eat a spoon full of sugar or a spoon full of salt?
S: Sugar.
J: Yeah, me too. It's less harsh.
S: Would you rather eat a spoon of salt or a spoon of your pee?
J:
He always comes up with the weirdest questions that I don't want to answer. But I think I may have to pick the spoon of pee. A spoon full of salt is very salty! And plus, there are those who drink their own pee... And then it got worse, it always gets worse with him, but I will not gross you out any further.

We found out that Chinchy was not given a burial in my Uncle's backyard. Instead, he was put into a trash bag and into the trash can! We are devastated. I will leave it at that.
This reminds me of the movie "Amadeus" (great movie, by the way) about the life of the composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. At the age of 35, he was overcome with illness. He was bankrupt, so in the movie, they put him in a cheap coffin and threw him in a mass grave where other paupers were dumped. I don't know if it was really this dramatic or even true, but that sure was a sad end to a great story.
Sam thinks we should have saved its fur. He said he would have gone and pet it once in awhile. Aww, how sweet... and... eww, how sick....
