  • I was hanging around the fan last night when I almost dropped my hair through the top of the fan. That would not be good.

fanIt reminded me of when Amy and I were little. Our Mom had just stepped out to do something and we were the only two home (I think). She was hanging around the fan as well, probably making Indian noises or holding her hands up to the fan. I warned her not to stick her fingers into the fan. But she decided to protest against me!

She got her fingers all cut up, bloody and with cuts on various fingers. But instead of showing her concern, I said, "I told you not to stick your fingers in the fan!" And then I walked away from the wailing Amy. I was feeling bad that she got hurt, but I had to remain tough. I feel bad to this day.

    Man, I was so mean!

I am nice now… most of the time.

  • At least she didn't try to stick her tongue into it.  That would be really messy.

BTW, I like your vein trick!

  • hannah always try to touch the fan too. but we just kept being firm with her with our tone of voice. Sometimes she listens but most of the time she just wants to test our patience.

  • i remember this!  shortly after, the garage door opened and it was mom--home from her sister's fellowship meeting.  she took care of me.

yes, thank goodness, you're no meanie no more.

  • @fiveup - i thought this happened when we were still in taiwan?? hmm... bad memory.

  • aw, poor fiveup.  i'm glad i know you post-meanie stage.  :)

    vein trick, show us!

  • That's why we now have the tall fans we got from Costco.  I don't think it has big fan blades.  Hahaha.

  • i was fascinated by the fan as a kid too... glad to hear your sis doesn't have permanent damage from the incident. i used to stick different things into the fan, but no body parts. what i liked to do the most was to sing into it...

  • ting, that's so funny! (but not really at the same time...) ouch! that's one of my biggest fears!
